Initially planning to study culture and politics, I turned to photography even before graduating from high school. From the age of 11 to 18, while battling a serious illness, photography served as a salvific distraction for me, before becoming a natural choice.
My work explores naivety and apparent lightheartedness
as lenses through which to address serious and troubling subjects : I use a bittersweet irony to tackle rape, immigration, loneliness, and misogyny. In February 2025, my series of portraits of the Afghan refugee Getee Azami was a finalist in the Le Diaphragme d’Or 2025 competition.
In my third and final year at Gobelins, I instinctively gravitated toward fashion and beauty, to the point where I wanted to make them the centerpiece of my visual world and my portfolio.
